So, yesterday was the Merdeka celebrations. I really have no idea the number of Malaysians that are here in Melbourne, cause there are at least 4 clubs celebrating the Merdeka countdown yesterday. But me? I went to Shamiana with Slinky. The rest ffk-ed us cause they’re too lazy or too tired -_-” We were actually expecting the countdown to be at 12am but we were wrong ! They actually planned to wait till 2am which is 12am back in Malaysia for the countdown.

Now here’s the funny part. Throughout the night, R&B songs were being played and when it was almost 2, the music stopped, the countdown began. Not suprised, the familiar “Negaraku” tune started coming out the speakers. And not really suprised, it was the remixed club version of the “Negaraku”. Nobody was standing straight in attention when the song was being played, instead everyone was dancing and singing along to “Negaraku” as if it’s just another song being played in a club, lol. Right after that, normal music continued.

Slinky and me couldn’t stand any longer so we left right after the countdown cause first we were bored as there were no close company around, mainly cause it’s also a Thursday and most of the ppl have early classes in the morning on Friday. I myself skipped the morning session of my class and only went for the afternoon session. =x

Been procrastinating too for the past week. Which means my assignment is still not done. Well, it is almost finished actually, just that it needs a bit of editing and that’s when the lazy bug struck. -_-” Then after that i gotta start on my powerpoint presentation. Where i have to present a topic of my choice for 10 mins. -_-”

Yeah, it’s September and the countdown has started ! It’ll be 2 or 3 more weeks before u come baby. I’ve been waiting for the past 2 months just for this moment. Time does fly but how i wish when you’re here, time passes really really slowly. The wait is gonna be so worth it i tell you =) I’ll make your time here worth every ringgit you spend on your air ticket ;) Trust me !

How to lose weight like that? Tell me ! Keeps on tempting me everytime i look at it, but anyhow it’ll be 3 weeks before i get to eat them =P

As i said, today is the day i’m gonna start doing my assignment. Which i also actually realised that the due date is one week from now -_-” Luckily i’m skipping class tomorrow so i’m gonna do my research tonight. But to do that alone a bit the sien right ! So must have something to layan while doing ma =P Blasting Essential Mixes through my headphones now and then of course must eat something also right !

My baby is coming back from Batu Pahat tomorrow ! Finally. =( Missing you like crazy baby, sigh.

Yeah, so our relaxing weekend is over. It all started with a trip to Crowns on Thursday cause Nat hasn’t even explored Melbourne although she has been here for 3 weeks =P tsk tsk. And this trip i finally managed to capture the famous “flamethrower” towers in action. Where everyones like “there! the money you lost is being burnt already” lol. Then i was just a short walk in the casino, sitting down for a drink and then around Crown itself.

Then everyone’s anticipation started growing as Friday night approaches. This time it’s VII once again to celebrate and have fun in conjunction with Slinky’s birthday which actually falls on today itself. Most of us didn’t really drink that night but we were just waiting for the infamous ABC for Slinky at the very end of the night. The other Eugene even bought him a shot of Bacardi 151. Really evil drink i tell you. Instead of Slinky getting drunk, Jit Sen was the one getting drunk at the end of the night -_-” Pictures !

So that basically sums up the night at VII. On Saturday we practically slept the whole day away. Woke up around afternoon for lunch, then we all went back home and slept again cause of the house party we’re having at night, we need our rest so that we wouldn’t get drunk that easily. Anyway, met up with everyone at Max Brenner’s and then we walked over to Ada’s place at Flagstaff, then the drinking game began at about 12am. Started quite late cause we were expecting Slinky to come a lot earlier.

Took quite a few pictures but i have yet to get the pictures from them yet. I have no luck at all yesterday. All 3 games of circle of death that we played? All 3 rounds i lost -_-” And cause Slinky came really late, around 3am, he didn’t get drunk, but instead our initial target for the night, JS got really drunk, lol. We were trying to take a group picture and suddenly he just puked -_-” stinking up the whole house and dirtying a few spots on their carpet, lol. =P

Today? The plan to go to the zoo was cancelled as usual. But we made plans to go for dim sum or they call it yum cha here i have no idea why. Met up in Chinatown at around 12pm, ate and ate and ate and cause it’s a Sunday, we didn’t wanna go home and continue sleeping so we decided to go to Crown’s arcade to burn some time. Just came home a while ago and we’re meeting up in a while more for Slinky’s birthday dinner which is just 5mins walk away from my place =D

After today, it’s time for everyone to be a nerd and start doing assignments and study. I already have one assignment which is due beginning of next month. Then another presentation which i have to present in about 2-3 weeks time i think. Already done 2 really simple exams last 2 weeks. Things are beginning to get hectic for everyone ! Well, it’s the 7th week of our course already anyway.

However, in conjunction with Merdeka in Malaysia, Malaysian societies in Unis here are actually organizing a celebration in clubs for Malaysians. There are about 4 clubs having this celebration as far as i’ve heard i think. It’s on a Thursday and we’re gonna go for one cause we promised Derek that we would be supporting him in this. Not gonna stay long as we all have class on Friday, so most probably after the countdown, we’ll just hang out a while more and head back home to sleep.

Pearly actually came and left. She was here for a week to meet up with her friends. It was so hard to meet up with her i tell you. Always lazy to come out and meet up with us -_-” But since Melbourne is so small, we actually kinda bumped into each other when i was waiting for a tram outside Verve. She couldn’t recognize me and said i became rounder -_-” The only time she went out with all of us was to Koko Black for a short drink. Anyway, you’re gonna go UK to study already lah, all the best to you and study hard k? Will try to meet up with you when you go back to Malaysia in December and intro you to someone lah k? =) And Mell, i have nothing to blog about you also ! We didn’t see you like since last month okay ! You didn’t call us also =X

The weather here is actually beginning to get hotter and hotter everyday. I even have to switch on my fan to sleep for the past 2 days. In the afternoon, temperatures actually rise to about 22deg. As i’m typing this, the temperature is actually at 20deg now. It’s not necessary to dress up that thick anymore now actually, except during the night when it gets a bit chilly, but still bearable unless the wind blows. I’ve even started sweating if i were to walk around in the afternoon -_-”

So yeah, the weekend update ! Time to buck up and finish my assignments before the sem break in mid September ! Then it’s fun fun fun ! =D mainly cause my princess is coming to visit ! Well, not only me but her sayangs, J-ann and Jien too =) Approximately 3 more weeks to go ! =D

I’ve heard about Australia having lots of concerts, live performances, raves and all. The raves? Slinky would find out about that and pull us along to go with him. And yeah, when spring comes, the number of raves that we have increases like crazy. But then recently i’ve heard that Gwen Stefani is coming, yeah not suprising i know. Then Linkin Park will be coming in October. Then as days pass by i start hearing more and more bands/people coming.

Akon end of this month, Linkin Park in October, Muse in November, My Chemical Romance in December, Snow Patrol in September, Fall Out Boy in September, Good Charlotte in October, The Killers in November, Powerfinger in September, Silverchair in September, Marilyn Manson in October, Darren Hayes in October, Hinder in October, Justin Timberlake in November and trust me, there are many more in the list. That not including the raves yet. Oh and guess what? I was googling and found out the Spice Girls are coming next year too.

BUT, why isn’t Within Temptation coming here? T_T Obviously, they won’t be going Malaysia but i really hope that they come here can ! I’ll definitely be the first in line to buy the tickets. ARGH they’re touring all over Europe, they went to Japan, but not here T_T Damn sad.

Anyway, it’s a pre-weekend update and rant post. My princess is gonna go Melaka to work for the weekend again, and won’t be back till Tuesday. I shall update again most probably after the weekend =)
