Car Problems.

Posted in Random on July 27th, 2005

Been having problems with my car’s engine mounting for the past few days and it took me quite some time to get it fixed. Firstly, after fixing my new engine mountings, on Saturday, on the way home, one of the crossmember’s screw flew off cause the threads that locks the crossmember onto the lower arm was loose, thus making the screw fly off my car after some bumps. Spent one whole day in the workshop here and didn’t get to go back the next day cause it’s a Sunday.

My dead mountings

New solid mountings which is supposed to last longer but gives you a more bumpier ride.

On Monday, i went back to the workshop to get it fixed and they told me about the loose thread problem, and when they tried to make the threads again, they found out that the screw hole is dented due to something hiting it hard and i gotta change the whole freaking lower arm. The bad thing is that i gotta wait till he finds that part for me cause it’s very rare as i’m using the 4WD gearbox. The 2WD lower arm would not fit now. Spent one whole day in the workshop here.

They called me late in the evening and told me that they found the lower arm for my car and i told them i would be there on Tuesday. Went there on Tuesday, and when they dismantled my whole lower arm, then they tried to fit the new one in, and guess what? it wouldn’t fit. They took a measurement tape and measured the 2, and found out that the new one is longer by a few milimeters. So, the mech tried to find another one for me and it took him quite long cause like i said, it’s rare. I went there at around 12pm, and at 4.30pm, the second lower arm came and this time luckily, the measurement was right. By the time they finished fixing everything, it was already about 5.3o to 6.00pm.

My car’s alignment is totally off now, so i decided to let it be till next month when i’m gonna change my tyres, so i guess i’ll get it all done at once. Hopefully there wouldn’t be any more major problems after this.

Hmmmm, my car just clocked 77777kms the other day :D and of course i took a photo :P

Fantastic Four

Posted in Random on July 19th, 2005

Nothing much happened for the past 2 weeks which explains why i didn’t update my blog. Class has already started and it’s from 2.00pm till 5.00pm on Mondays to Thursdays. The time i quite awkward cause since we’re having classes in the afternoon, so that leaves me with free time in the morning and night. What can i do in the morning? Nothing. Just sit in front of the computer at home and surf surf surf till it’s time to go class. At least when it comes to night, i can still go out and come home late though =P Anyway, i think our classes will be in the morning next week. We’ll be alternating between another class. We’ll see how things go then.

Okay, back to topic. I watched Fantastic Four the other day and although i didn’t watch the cartoon, i have to admit, the movie was quite good and of course Jessica Alba is HOT! You know you can’t deny that =P The last part was of course the best and i really liked to see all 4 of them use their own powers to help each other to stop Doom. Go watch the show if you haven’t and don’t forget to check out Jessica Alba =P

Anyway, the Pro-Hatch forum is up and running since last night thanks to Paul for setting it up for us. Heheh, been doing a lot of editing to the forum today cause it’s my very first time creating a forum like this =\ Hmmm, so any Satria owners and would like to join us? Head over to the forum and start posting ya? =D Out !

Paintball !

Posted in Random on July 11th, 2005

I had my first experience in the game of Paintball yesterday. It was DAMN fun, but the shots were of course pain =P We had a total of 15 ppl playing yesterday with 13 guys and 2 girls. The game was held at TT Sports Park in Subang Jaya, behind Holiday Villa, nearby the go-kart track. We reached the place at about 9.30pm after breakfast with a few of the guys at a nearby mamak.

Anyway, when we reached there, there were 2 more groups of ppl there waiting to play so we had to wait despite the “early” booking we made -_-” All we could do was walk around and look at other ppl play while the staffs of the place made arrangements for us. Another reason we couldn’t play was cause there wasn’t enough marshalls. After a long 2 hour wait, at around 11.30am, we finally got our turn. After briefing about the safety, guns, safety masks, blah blah blah we went into the field.

MarkerMasks !

First we played “Defend the Fortress” or something like that where one team attacks and another defends. When the attacking team touches any one pole at the “fortress” the team wins or if the defending team defends for 5 minutes then they win. We played the attacking team first and it was real scary and this is when i got shot in the arm for the very first time. It hurts like mad i tell you maybe cause it was my first time =P and of course, we won !

Second round, we played the defending team and of course we defended nicely and we won too ! but i got shot too in this round. Luckily i got shot on my gun and not on any part of my body so i didn’t feel anything =P After this round, we didn’t wanna play “Defend the Fortress” anymore cause one team would be wasting bullets shooting to defend while the other hides and gets to save a lot of bullets. This time we’re playing “Team Elimination” where one team has to kill off the other team to win. Towards the end of this round, the marshall shouted that the other team had one guy left so the few of us rushed towards him, but suddenly, another guy was hiding somewhere that we didn’t know and he jumped out and started shooting at me. One bullet hit my head and i was out, hahah =P I think we lost that round.

After this we took a short break for some drinks and some talking. Then after like 10-15 minutes break, we went over to another field to play “Capture the Flag” This field was quite nice but only with the obstacles being made from inflated stuff. We started the round and halfway, the few of us killed of the whole of the other team but we didn’t know so we continued hiding. After quite some time, we felt weird cause the place was quiet, hahah. Then we just walked out and we saw that everyone was dead and we continued to go capture the flag, hahahah =P The few rounds after that was just normal “Team Elimination” cause we think that’s the most fun format game until we finished our 2000 paint bullets.

We ended at around 1.30pm and then we stayed there and chit chatted a bit and of course to look at each other’s wounds =P Later, we went over to Asia Cafe to have our lunch and of course our post-war talk =P All in all, i got 4 shots, 2 on my arm, 1 on my head and 1 more on my chest. Although it was pain but it’s all covered by the amount of fun we had. We’re considering having another Paintball session next month. Anyone wanna join? =P

A trip to the night market

Posted in Random on July 4th, 2005

Yesterday, we had a trip to the night market in Uptown, or Damansara Utama. We as in, eugene, nukee, gary and 2 other friends. Before that we were at another friend’s house for his farewell party thingy. We reached his house at around 11pm, sat there and chit chatted till around 1am and we were super super bored. No one can think of a place to go and when a few of us said Asia Club, the rest would say that they’re lazy -_-”

Anyway, someone suggested the night market in uptown in the end and we immediately left the place. Reached the night market at around 1.30am? and we started walking. There were so many things being sold there but the only bad thing is that the place is super packed with ppl. You’ll have to squeeze your way through the stalls and everyone else. We stopped at a particular stall where they sell those LED torchlights and binoculars and spent like maybe 15-20 minutes there? cause one friend was interested in buying a binoculars and he was haggling with the stall -_-”

After that we walked even more and looked at a lot of shirts. Nike shirts for RM35 anyone? and it’s original ! Or maybe not? but it comes with the nike tag and Dri-Fit printings though. It’s either it’s really original stuff or it might be grade A imitation. Who would know? =\ Not even halfway through the night market, we were quite thirsty, so we bought a bottle of soft drink (claimed to be home made, even the bottles are different and brandless) for RM1. When was the last time you drank a soft drink out of a bottle? Hahahah, we sure had fun doing that last night =P

Oh, and of course car accessories were available in the market too and while we were walking, a MOMO steering on display caught our eye and of course being the car maniacs that we are, we instantly went to check if the steering is original. We asked the guy how much is it and he told us tiga dua which means “three two” which translates to RM32 to us. We were quite shocked when we heard him saying that and then we checked the steering for any tears on the leather and of course it’s original. I think the guy overheard us saying that it’s really cheap then he told us again that the price was RM320, not RM32 =P We walked away after that, hahahah.

Hmmm, we looked at even more t-shirts after that and there was one shirt that caught my eye, but eugene managed to get it first, but luckily the t-shirt didn’t come in his size, hahahah =P The t-shirt is seriously damn cute and i really liked it. Looked for one that fits me and the t-shirt only costs RM10 ! We ended the walk at around 3.45-4am and went to a nearby mamak for er, dinner? breakfast? LOL and i reached home at almost 5am =P

Well, it was a damn fun night for all of us and we’re deciding to go back there next week and of course bring a LOT more cash for some shopping, hahahah. First time you heard about a group of guys who enjoys shopping eh? But of course not in shopping complexes, night market ! hahahah =P Here’s the design of the t-shirt i bought =)

the t-shirt i bought !

Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy / H2G2

Posted in Random on July 1st, 2005

Watched H2G2 with my friends in the new GSC in 1U the other day. The new GSC there was damn cool, even with the new carpet smell and all =P but the seats totally sucked. The headrest was too high and halfway through the movie, i was trying to push it and suddenly the whole headrest came off, hahah so anyway it’s cool and of course a lot MORE comfortable after that. The show was practically meaningless -_-” but to me it wasn’t TOO bad. Had to listen closely to the narrations to fully understand the story though =\ Marvin the-forever-depressed robot was of course the coolest and funniest character in the movie. Anyway, go watch it for yourself and then you’ll know, hahaha.

Well, about 2 days ago, the bird that i found died. It’s was expected anyway, cause i don’t think the bird would survive long without it’s mother. Quite saddening actually when i woke up one morning and my mum told me that the bird is dead already. I was thinking of burying it in the park behind my house but she threw the dead bird into the drain >_< Sigh. RIP.

Tomorrow’s my registration day for Level 3, but i cannot contact my friend to see what time he’s going cause his phone is totally dead. So i’m not sure if he’s gonna continue studying or not and i’m not really sure myself if i wanna go there. Felt like just stopping studying there and taking up something else. =\

Wordpress is finally up thanks to Paul who did everything for me this afternoon. Now i gotta change the layout here and there a bit and i’m done. =P
